What this policy covers
This policy explains how Real Property Dictionary (“we”, “us” or “our”) handles information when you use realpropertydictionary.com, including the Australia and Thailand dictionaries and the correction form.
Information handled when you visit
Our hosting provider may automatically process standard technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include your IP address, browser and device type, requested page, referring page, and the date and time of the request.
Dictionary searches run in your browser. We do not receive or store the words you type into the search box.
Corrections and messages
If you use the correction form, we receive the term or page you identify, your message, and any supporting source URL you choose to provide. The form does not ask for your name or email address. Please do not include sensitive personal information in the message or linked material.
The form is processed by Web3Forms so the submission can be checked for spam and delivered to us. Web3Forms may also process technical metadata such as an IP address, timestamp and referring page. Its current data processing terms describe its security, subprocessors and retention practices.
How we use information
We use information only to operate and protect the site, investigate technical problems, review suggested corrections, improve dictionary accuracy, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell correction-form information or use it to build marketing profiles.
Service providers and overseas processing
We use Cloudflare to host and protect the website and Web3Forms to process correction-form submissions. These providers may process information in countries outside Australia, using their own infrastructure and subprocessors. Their handling of information is also governed by their respective privacy terms.
Retention
We keep correction submissions only for as long as reasonably needed to assess the correction, maintain an editorial record, resolve a dispute, or meet a legal obligation. Web3Forms applies its own service retention periods, which are described in its data processing terms. Technical hosting records are retained according to the hosting provider’s operational and security practices.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Real Property Dictionary does not currently set its own cookies or run analytics tags, advertising scripts or personalised advertising. If analytics or advertising is introduced, we will update this policy and provide any notice or consent controls required before those technologies are enabled.
External links
The dictionary links to government sources, Property Learning Hub and other external websites. Those sites control their own privacy practices. This policy does not cover information they collect after you follow an external link.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information handled through the site and use encrypted HTTPS connections. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your privacy requests
You may ask whether we hold personal information about you, request access or correction, ask us to delete information where applicable, or raise a privacy concern. Because the correction form does not request contact details, include enough information for us to identify the relevant submission without sending unnecessary personal data.
